MILK is a riotous one-woman musical about Shelley, a 1950s housewife controlled by a surreal machine consciousness. Together they tumble through repressed memories, encountering fragments of a broken psyche on a quest for wholeness. Shelley wrestles with femininity, perfection, motherhood, and sexuality – while vacuuming backward in heels! Part “I Love Lucy,” part “The Twilight Zone,” Milk Makes Me Sick (But My Body Needs) is a dreamlike journey towards self-love and acceptance, accompanied by a live band of milkmen.
